Akshit is a first year doctoral candidate working on fairness in deep learning with special focus on brain imaging. His research interests lie broadly in deep learning foundations, integrating prior knowledge and mathematical frameworks to direct deep networks towards an optimal solution and, most importantly, the fairness of these networks in the context of medical imaging. Previously, Akshit worked as a researcher at GE Healthcare and GE Research in Bangalore, India where he developed deep learning solutions for language and vision tasks. He holds an integrated M.Sc. in Mathematics from BITS Pilani, India.
